MARION FINLAND OY'S ONLINE STORE PRIVACY POLICY

Marion Finland Oy (hereinafter referred to as “Vaicute” or “we”) processes the personal data of customers of the online store selling Vaicute products for order processing, customer relationship management and direct marketing purposes. We also process the data of our website visitors for analytics purposes.

It is important to us that you know how we process your personal data. Below we will tell you more about the processing of your personal data.

Please note that this privacy policy only applies to the processing of personal data by the Vaicute organization as the data controller.

  1. DATA COLLECTED

We collect the following information from customers who have registered or placed an order:

  • first and last name;
  • e-mail address;
  • postal address;
  • telephone number;
  • other additional information provided by the customer;
  • order and delivery history;
  • selected payment method;
  • possible customer communication or complaints;
  • consents and prohibitions related to direct marketing; and
  • For representatives of corporate customers, the company name and business ID.

A temporary customer's unfinished order and the above information will also be stored in our database so that the customer has the opportunity to continue placing the order later. We will delete unfinished orders within one month of the order creation date.

In addition, we may process certain technical information about all visitors to the online store, which may in some situations be considered personal data. Such information includes:

  • Your IP address;
  • operating system and device type;
  • the products you are looking for in the online store; and
  • page history within the online store.

For the execution of the subscription agreement

We process personal data for the purpose of processing, confirming and delivering your order. Personal data may also be processed in connection with complaints or warranty situations regarding your order or product.

Basis for processing personal data

We process personal data to perform our contractual obligations towards the registered customer, or to take steps prior to entering into a contract. We also process personal data on the basis of consent when the registered person has given their consent to the processing of personal data, and on the basis of legitimate interest to maintain and develop our business, for example to collect website analytics.

The data subject has the right to withdraw their consent at any time by contacting us.

We retain our customers' personal data only for as long as required by law or as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified above.

  1. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EEA

As a rule, we process personal data within the European Economic Area.

However, in some situations we may transfer personal data for processing outside this area. In such cases, we will ensure that agreements for international transfers include model clauses for international transfers or that transfers otherwise take place in accordance with another arrangement approved by the EU Commission in force at any time, for example under the Privacy Shield program.

We may disclose personal information to parties outside the Vaicute organization if access to personal information is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation or court order; to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, identity theft, money laundering, terrorist financing, or information security or technical problems; or to ensure other public interest purposes as required by law.

For authorized service providers

We may disclose personal data to authorized service providers who perform services for us, for example, to a service provider responsible for transportation services. Our agreements with our service providers include commitments under which the service providers undertake to limit the use of personal data and to comply with at least the privacy and data security standards set out in this Privacy Policy.

With your explicit consent

We may disclose personal data to third parties outside the Vaicute organization for reasons other than those mentioned above when we have the express consent of the data subject. The data subject has the right to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting us.

Data subjects have the right to access their personal data processed by Vaicute. You may contact us to find out what personal data we process and for what purpose this data is used.

You have the right to have incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unnecessary personal data that we hold corrected or completed by us. By contacting us, you can update, for example, your contact details or other personal data.

The right to request deletion of information

You can ask us to delete your personal data. We will comply with your request unless we have a legitimate reason not to delete the information. Such a reason may, for example, be an obligation to retain information under accounting law or the need to retain order information to verify a possible warranty claim.

Right to object and right to restrict processing

You have the right to object to the processing of your data or profiling if your data is processed for direct marketing purposes. You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, including where the information about you is incorrect. In addition, in certain special situations, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular personal situation.

The right to transfer data from one system to another

The data subject has the right to receive their personal data from us in a structured and commonly used format and to independently transfer the data to a third party.

If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please send us the following information by post or email: name, address, telephone number and a copy of a valid ID. We may request additional information to verify your identity.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably frequent, excessive, or clearly unfounded.

If you have given your consent to receive direct marketing, for example by subscribing to a newsletter, we may send you information regarding our products, offers or events.

The data subject always has the right to prohibit us from using personal data for direct marketing, market research or profiling by contacting us using the contact details provided above or by using the unsubscribe option offered in connection with direct marketing messages.
